ABOUT BARBARA
#MizzouMade
Barbara moved to Columbia in the late 90’s for college and never looked back. Receiving both her Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees from the University of Missouri, Barbara worked for MU Extension before joining the City of Columbia workforce.
Proud City of Columbia employee
Barbara joined the City of Columbia in 2010 to be the City’s first Sustainability Manager. There she was responsible for integrating short and long term comprehensive action plans, resource conservation, and programs and operations that advanced a more sustainable, vital and well-planned future for Columbia. Barbara left her position in May 2021.
Love for Columbia
Barbara and her husband, Luke, love Columbia and are proud to be raising their two kids in this community. They love the opportunities this community offers – from the extensive trail system to the cultural events like the True / False Film Fest. Barbara believes in Columbia.
